This little pig has a fungal infection on and around the ear which also affects the skin at the corner of the eye. You can see how the skin grows crusty and starts to crack leaving sores. The coat is usually loose and comes away with flakes of skin attached. Treatment starts by carefully applying an oil to 'lift' the scales and flaky skin, so that the infection can be treated. We use peach kernal oil with a tiny amount of essential oils added. This is a case syudy of how we treat our pigs, stud or rescue, with years of experience behind us, and a good vet if its needed. It will not be the only right way, as there are many ways to treat symptoms and illness that appear alike.
